An independent non-profit shares the voices of everyday Americans through animated shorts, their podcast, and a weekly broadcast to over 12 million people on NPR.
StoryCorps believes every person has a story to tell. Their vast archive of recordings are housed in the U.S. Library of Congress and form the largest collection of human voices ever gathered. We were overjoyed to partner with StoryCorps in a complete website and visual identity overhaul, delivering something streamlined and easy to navigate.

StoryCorps is home to an archive of thousands of emotionally powerful and intimate interviews and stories, but when we first partnered with them, their vast archive was virtually inaccessible to their enthusiastic user base. To solve this, we designed a sophisticated tagging system that transformed the archive into an engaging and playful search space. By leading with compelling photography, incorporating vibrant colors, and including additional white space, we gave the site a modern, streamlined look.
Our goal was to create meaningful ways of sifting through archival stories and videos, organizing them by separate themes and expressions. We like to think of the result as an immersive journey through a living time capsule of human experiences.
